Vintage tools -  plane Y1663

Up for sale is a gorgeous & unusual antique FRENCH smoothing PLANE that has some age to it. It looks to have been made out of FRENCH CORMIER, a dense rich fruitwood, this one has a rather fancy escapement- showing off the skill of the maker.

A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece.

Weight - 650g

Size: 190mm long x 52mm wide & with a 36mm cutter 

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, needs sharpening prior use.
A nice laminated steel cutter. It's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
